URBAN ENERGY!

Urban Street dancing is a fascinating burst of energy and grace in movement. As urban dancing is part of the urban culture from New York to L. A, and is a lifestyle, it has a deeper meaning than just the music created, dance styles, or entertainment recognition. It has influence not only music and dance but the visual arts too. Here I have created a number of ballet-like painting to reflect the feeling of Urban Street dancing and the power and excitement it creates.

The work is mixed media with a combination of acrylic paint, photo, copic pens, graphic charcoal and pen and ink.
